Our July Fridays at the Hood date which was postponed due to smoke from the Woodside fire, has been rescheduled to a SATURDAY (8/15/26). Surrounded by rolling hills of redwoods and stunning views of Hood Mountain, this beloved outdoor concert series combines world-class music, local food and drinks, and an easygoing community vibe that feels like the ultimate backyard party. We regret to inform you that our show tomorrow night has been postponed.  The folks at Fridays at the Hood have decided to cancel the show due to smoke and poor air quality in the area caused by the Woodside Fire burning along the Sonoma Coast. Purchased tickets will be honored at a makeup date, which we’ll be sure to let you know about as soon as it is chosen.

Come on out to the Cotati Music Festival - we are looking forward to a good time as always. This year’s festival features a fun mix of local talent and plenty of music to keep the park going all afternoon. From indie rock and blues to folk rock, funk, soul and danceable classics, there is something for everyone. There will be two stages to keep the music going throughout the entire event with live performances starting at 12:00 noon. The Soul Section will be closing out the day from 4:30-6pm.

We are looking forward to playing the Peacetown benefit again this year at the Hopmonk Sebastopol. Bands included this year are Love Choir, Dream Farmers, Sonoma Shakers, Alamo Mission Band, Batacha, Sebastian St. James, Volker Strifler Band, Onye and The Messengers, Case of the Willy’s, The Pulsators, Freestone Peaches, and Spike Sikes and the Get Real Gone, and us, The Soul Section! All the bands will be doing short 25-30 min sets, rotating between two stages - The Beer Garden and The Abby. We’ll be appearing alongside some amazing artists including: Eric Lindell, David Lunning, The Pulsators, Volker Strifler, Soul Fuse, Sebastian St. James, Mad Honeys, Love Choir, Sarah Baker, Andre De Channes, Randall Sequeria and more. We are scheduled for a short (1/2 hour) set starting at 2:30pm. This will be a great day of music and we’d love to see you there.
